1996 — Establishment of the Engineering Centre to develop and introduce high technology products from research and development activities. Establishment of the joint-venture with the American company Motorola, “Motorola-Izhradio-Centre”. The production of the final add-on “Priroda” module for the “Mir” orbital station.
1997 — The international association “Partnership for the Sake of Progress” – (“Monde Sans Frontiere”) awarded “Izhevskiy Radiozavod” the “Golden Eagle” award for active participation in solving ecological problems.
OAO “Izhevskiy Radiozavod” has become one of the leading companies of the Russian Space Agency in development and manufacture of payload for space vehicles and launch vehicles; IRZ participates in international space projects “International Space Station”, SESAT, “Sea Launch” etc.
1998 — OAO “Izhevskiy Radiozavod” received the international Quality System certificate, which covers development, manufacture, servicing of equipment for radio electronic communications, railway automatic equipment, telemetry, command and measuring systems. The Quality System certification audit for compliance with the international ISO 9001 standard was conducted by the Bureau Veritas Quality International company (Great Britain). The Russian Space Agency, taking into account many years’ experience of IRZ in the manufacture of high reliability telemetry equipment, made a decision to rank IRZ as a base manufacturer in the field of radio electronic devices for space vehicles.
1999 — Izhevskiy Radiozavod was awarded the prize and the Russian Government Diploma for great achievements in the field of quality.
The production of telemetry systems for “Zenit” and “Soyuz” launch vehicles, the production of consumer goods.
2000 — OAO “Izhevskiy Radiozavod” participates for the first time in the fulfillment of the international contract for the Europe Satellite Communication Organization - Evtelsat in the field of space vehicles. The production of telemetry systems, control stations for submersible electric pumps for OAO “Alnas”.
